Pnictogen-functionalised isocyanide ligands.

Abstract

The reactions of a range of cyanometallate salts with ClABu (A = P, As, Sb, A ≠ Bi) afford the new phosphino, arsino and stibino-isonitrile complexes [M(CNABu)(CO)] (M = W, A = P, As, Sb) and [ML(CNPBu)] [ML = Cr(CO), Mo(CO), Mn(CO)(η-CH), Re(CO)(η-CH), Fe(CO), Fe(CO)(PPh)] allowing crystallographic spectroscopic and computational interrogation of isonitrile compexes functionalised by the heavier pnictogens.
