Abstract
Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies(IIM) are a group of autoimmune diseases characterized by significant heterogeneity and complex mechanisms. Their diverse clinical presentations and lack of specific biomarkers pose substantial challenges for clinical diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has provided novel tools and methodologies to address these issues. AI has demonstrated superior performance in integrating clinical data, analyzing medical images, recognizing pathological patterns, and assessing prognosis. Specifically, machine learning and deep learning techniques have played a crucial role in disease diagnosis and subtype, and the formulation of prognostic and therapeutic strategies. Although preliminary progress has been made, the application of AI in IIM still faces challenges such as insufficient data standardization, limited model generalizability, and difficulties in clinical translation. This review summarizes recent advances in AI applications within the field of IIM, aiming to provide a scientific basis for future research directions and to promote the integration of AI technology into clinical practice, ultimately improving the overall diagnostic and therapeutic management of IIM.
