Abstract

INTRODUCTION: With an increase in the incidence of Staphylococcus aureus infections in the healthcare settings and in the community, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole (TMP/SMX) has been suggested as a convenient treatment option. However, the appropriate dosage regimen of TMP/SMX is unclear.
