Spinal cord infarction following epidural and general anesthesia: a case report.

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Epidural anesthesia is widely used for postoperative analgesia and rarely causes permanent neurological complications. We report a case of paraplegia following abdominal surgery under combined epidural/general anesthesia.
