Abstract

BACKGROUND: Immunosuppressant Bayesian dose adjustment (ISBA) is an online expert system, routinely used by approximately 140 transplantation centers in the world for the dose adjustment of immunosuppressive drugs in transplant patients. This system determines the area under the curve (AUC) of the drug by pharmacokinetic modeling and Bayesian estimation. The purpose of this study was to analyze tacrolimus exposure after administration of its modified-release formulation (Advagraf) in kidney allograft recipients, to optimize its therapeutic drug monitoring.
