Abstract

BACKGROUND: Photon-counting-detector CT (PCD-CT) enables the production of virtual monoenergetic images (VMIs) at a high spatial resolution (HR) via simultaneous acquisition of multi-energy data. However, noise levels in these HR VMIs are markedly increased.
