Abstract
Plants from the genus of Pulsatilla produce a variety of secondary metabolites with biological activity. These species play a special role in herbal medicine and are used in traditional folk medicine to treat many diseases and ailments. Due to their numerous medicinal properties, they are now also widely used as homeopathic preparations. In the present study, the antifungal activity of crude extracts of the root of Pulsatilla patens (L.) Mill. against the yeast Candida glabrata with an IC₅₀ of 9.37 μg/mL is reported.
