Abstract

BACKGROUND: Thoracic esophageal cancer resection through the neck approach has recently been reported as mediastinoscopic surgery. We present the first report of a new minimally invasive technique for thoracic esophageal cancer: robot-assisted transcervical esophagectomy with a bilateral cervical approach.
