BACKGROUND: Major depressive disorder (MDD) involves molecular alterations and pathway dysregulation. Metabolic interconnections are crucial for normal functioning, yet current analysis focuses on individual pathways or biomarkers, overlooking intricate metabolic biomarker interactions.
