Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Although febrile neutropenia (FN) remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients, the increasing prevalence of antimicrobial resistance necessitates a reassessment of antibiotic prophylaxis and treatment strategies.
