Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are valuable alternatives to traditional antibiotics, possess a variety of potent biological activities and exhibit immunomodulatory effects that alleviate difficult-to-treat infections. Clarifying the structure-activity relationships of AMPs can direct the synthesis of desirable peptide therapeutics.
