Abstract
BACKGROUND: Current clinical scoring systems are insufficient in the early identification of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) patients at risk of developing potentially lethal complications. This present study was designed to evaluate the relationship of presepsin with disease severity, local complications, organ failure, and mortality of SAP.
