INTRODUCTION: We investigate the safety and efficacy of single-site robotic cholecystectomy compared to laparoscopic cholecystectomy at an inner-city academic medical center.
BACKGROUND/AIMS: The aim of this study was to report on the feasibility of esophagojejunostomy reconstruction using a robot-sewing technique during a completely robotic total gastrectomy for gastric cancer.
PURPOSE: Herein, we firstly present the robotic single-site cholecystectomy (RSSC) as performed in Asia and evaluate whether it could overcome the limitations of conventional laparoscopic single-site cholecystectomy.
